A tour of our home decorated with warm fall touches, colors and textures.
Wow, this year is FLYING by! I seriously cannot believe it will be the start of November next week.
It’s that time of year again already…sharing our home decorated for fall! I love warmer, deep colors in general, so our home really lends itself to this season. It shines when it’s decorated for autumn!
I don’t go as literal with my fall decor as I used to, instead I lean into adding more moody tones, whether it be with fabrics or decor. I don’t add quite as many pumpkins, but you’ll still a few around the house! 🙂
I’ll walk you through our decorated spaces and share a project or two along the way — let me know if you have questions about anything you see!
Our dining room has FINALLY become what I envisioned in my head for years. I feel like I’m thisclose to having it exactly how I want it.
This buffet was a little farmhouse-ish looking until I painted it this rich burgundy color. It fits into this room so much better, and the added trim and small details give it a more elevated look:

Before, it kind of blended into the room. Now it makes a statement — and that deep wine color is so lovely!
I’ve been asked about the wood chairs and if I’ll be changing them out. They’re pretty comfortable and very sturdy, so it will just depend on if anything pops up on FB Marketplace someday.
I don’t have a specific look in mind, but I’ll know them if I see them! For now I like how these look with the table just fine.
I go back and forth on painting out the whole window seat and bookcase wall. Should I color drench the room and paint them to match the walls? I do love the classic, crisp white:
It would be a huge painting job, so we’ll see! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Our entryway was another spot that got a small update with something old this year. 🙂
But man…do I love it here! I’m always trying to give our home more character and usually do that with molding and DIY projects. The same feeling can be accomplished with beautiful second hand finds as well!
I’ve been falling back in love with decor that gives a nod to the 90’s feel. I found these vintage frames online a few months ago and they are a blast from my past:
I want to add more nostalgic touches around the house like this. I don’t even want to talk about the fact that the 90’s are considered vintage…it seems like that was 10 years ago!
Our previous table in here was lovely, but had both an upper and bottom shelf to decorate. It’s nice to only worry about this small space, and it’s not nearly as busy looking:
Our living room is another space that shines this time of year!
I’ve worked hard to make this room feel warm and grounded, even with the tall ceilings and large windows (which we love):
The deep color on the fireplace (called Cyberspace) is still my favorite. I just love this color!
It coordinates so beautifully with any decor and/or accent colors:
We loved it so much I pretty much copied the same look this year:
It’s a big room, so anything smaller felt minuscule in here.
A few months ago I added some extra wallpaper I had laying around to the back of this tall bookshelf:

We’ve had that “etagere” for 10-12 years and it’s undergone a few DIY updates. I love it in this color!
I also have the decorative bar hanging at the end of our cabinets:
As well as the bar hanging over the stove top:
These spots are out of the way and don’t impede with us actually operating in our kitchen!
I like to switch out some utilitarian things as well, like salt and pepper shakers or a cookie jar:
Even changing out the pitcher I use for our cooking utensils adds a little warmth for the season. 🙂
I try to the keep the island fairly empty, since we have our sink in it that takes up space:
We don’t have a huge kitchen, so switching out some smaller things gives me the ability to add some seasonal decor without going overboard.
I hope you enjoyed the tour! I hope to have a YouTube video of our fall home tour up soon, so I’ll be sure to add that here when I do.
I could leave my home decorated for fall all year…I love it that much! Did you add any fall touches to your home this year?
